Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is often carried out as a day case procedure, where upon the upper and lower lids can be treated together or separately.

The treatment for lower eyebag surgery or lower eyelid surgery consists of a fine incision being made below the eyelash, allowing the Doctor to remove any excess fat and trim loose skin. The upper eyelids are corrected by removing a strip of skin and any excess fat in the crease of the eyelid.

The surgery can be carried out using either a general anaesthetic or in some cases a local anaesthetic may be all that is required prior to treatment.
